The Browser program on the Droid X has more options and settings than just about any other program. You can do a few things to improve the way the Web looks on your Droid phone's browser. (First and foremost, don't forget that you can orient the phone horizontally to see a wide view on any Web page.)
To get to the Web settings, fire up the Web browser and press the Menu soft button. Then choose More→Settings. Here are a few of the htings you might want to do from the Settings screen that appears:
Choose Clear All Cookie Data. This step clears the cookies your Droid has picked up while you've wandered around the Web. Some people are concerned about these cookies that get picked up as they browse the Internet, so clearing them might make you feel better, though it provides only a modicum of increased privacy.
Choose Clear Form Data and remove the check mark from Remember Form Data. These two settings prevent any characters you've input into a text field (such as your e-mail address, home address, and phone number) from being summoned automatically by someone who steals your phone. This will make entering your information into online forms more tedious, but it will keep you safer if someone else gets ahold of your Droid X.
Change the Text Size. Choose Text Size and select an option for how large you want text on Web pages to appear on your Droid X.
Change your location settings. You might be concerned about various warnings regarding location data. What they mean is that the phone can take advantage of your location on planet Earth (using the Droid X GPS or satellite position system) to help locate businesses and people near you. You can disable location services by removing the check mark by Enable Location. You can also choose the item Clear Location Access to wipe out any information saved in the phone and used by certain Web pages.
Press the Back soft button to return to the Web page screen.
