Juniper Documents to Help Plan and Deploy Your Network

When it comes time to deploy your Junos-based devices, you may want to know what resources and tools are available to ease your migration. Fortunately, as a Juniper Networks customer, you have access to various documents that can help you in planning and deploying your new network:

  • Network configuration examples: Provide complex multi-platform configuration examples for many advanced technologies and solutions. Examples include Class of Service, management, MPLS, routing, security, switching, IPv6, data center, VPLS, and VPNs.

Juniper posts the remaining documents across its website in its Solutions and Product pages, but you can find most of these documents by searching the document database of the Support team.

  • Design Guides and Reference Architectures: Describe how Juniper recommends designing the deployment of a solution that includes Juniper and/or Juniper partner products.

  • Application Notes: Are “how to” documents describing an interesting or innovative application of a Juniper product or solution with detailed network design descriptions, architectures, and reference designs.

  • Implementation Guides: Give network and system administrators important information about how to configure, verify, and start the operation of a Juniper Networks solution within their network infrastructure.

  • Juniper “Day One” Books: Juniper publishes a series of books focused on helping you to get your network up and running. These “Day One” books give you just what you need to get started on a new project. Many focus on migration topics, such as a book written specifically to help in migrating your network from the EIGRP routing protocol to the OSPF routing protocol. You can view the latest available titles and download them for free at.

Juniper publishes additional titles on a wide variety of networking and security topics.
