Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 3 hours on Low
Yield: 6 servings
2 pounds ripe peaches
2/3 cup old-fashioned oats
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
Pinch salt
3/4 cup (6 tablespoons) unsalted butter, softened
Peel and pit the peaches.
Cut them into 1/4-inch slices.
Lightly spray a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker with vegetable oil cooking spray.
Layer the peach slices in the slow cooker.
Combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
Add the softened butter.
Combine until the mixture is crumbly.
You can use a fork or your fingers.
Sprinkle the butter mixture over the peaches.
Cover and cook on Low for 3 hours.
