After you check out Microsoft's Web site and look through the exam objectives, you may be wondering what happened to the objectives concerning domain controllers and the Active Directory. Well, you won't find any specific references to those topics in the list of exam objectives.



The Windows 2000 Server exam tests your skills as an administrator of member servers in an Active Directory environment. On this exam, you will not see questions related to configuration or administration of domain controllers because all Windows 2000 domain controllers run the Active Directory. Exam 70-217, Implementing and Administering a Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services Infrastructure, focuses on domain controllers and the Active Directory.
