Feeling sad often alienates you from spending time with friends and family and doing your favorite things. Force yourself to go out and use some of the following suggestions to help:
Go to the grocery store for one or two items.
Ask a friend out to lunch.
Visit the library or a museum.
Take a walk around the block.
Go out for a cup of coffee (decaf, of course).
Join a support group.
Spend less time in bed.
Exercise.
Work in the yard or garden.
Start a new hobby.
