How to Set Up Your iPhone Address Book

To set up your address book:

  First, tap the phone icon on the home screen, tap contacts at the bottom of the screen, and then, tap the plus button in the upper right corner.

  Enter the contact information by tapping each field. Besides the basic info, like address, you can assign a photo for that contact, by tapping add photo. The phone will prompt you to take a photo on the spot or select one from your phone's photo library. Select the picture and tap save in the upper right corner.

  If you want a particular ring tone assigned to that contact, tap ringtone and select one you like. Select back and then done.

  If a field you need is not represented, you can tap, add field and enter additional information for that contact. When you're done, tap save.

  To add a recent caller to your contacts, tap recent or voicemail and then tap the right arrow next to the number you want to add. Tap create new contacts, enter the information, note that the phone number has already been added. And then tap save twice.
