How to Use the Spotify App Last.fm

The great news is that now, Last.fm is fully integrated into Spotify as an app. Last.fm has always been a great way to find new music recommendations. Once Last.fm builds up a history of your listening preferences, it can predict any other music you might like to hear next.

As an integrated app, it’s far easier to view what music you might like, and what stuff you’ve been listening to recently. Essentially, all the functionality of Last.fm remains but in a much more accessible format, from right within Spotify.

After adding the Last.fm app to your sidebar, you can log in using your Last.fm credentials to view recommended releases, albums you’ve played in the last three months (and how many tracks you’ve listened to), recent tracks and tracks you’ve favorited on Last.fm.

And, as usual, you can scrobble tracks you’re listening to. This is Last.fm’s made-up word to represent the act of logging the tracks you’ve heard to your Last.fm profile. You can enable or disable scrobbing in your Spotify preferences (Spotify > Preferences on Mac or File > Preferences on PC).
