How to Use the Word 2007 Reading Highlight Option

You can use the Reading Highlight option in the Word 2007 Find and Replace dialog box to highlight all occurrences of selected text in your document. Word highlights all occurrences in the document at the same time.



  1. Summon the Find and Replace dialog box.

    Choose the Find button in the Editing group on the Home tab to display this dialog box.>

    You can also use the Ctrl+F shortcut.



  2. Type the text you want to find in the Find What field.



  3. Click the Reading Highlight drop-down list and select Highlight All.

  4. Click the Find All button.


    Word highlights all the occurrences in yellow.



  5. To remove the highlighting, click the Reading Highlight drop-down list and select Clear Highlighting.


    Word clears the highlighting from the text.
