How to Construct a Point on an Object with the TI-84 Plus

You can use the GeoMaster DRAW menu on the TI-84 Plus to construct a point so that it is part of an existing object.

Then use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the location on the object where you wish to place a point and press [ENTER]. The point is constructed at the location of the cursor and the Point on Object tool remains active so that you can construct more points on the same object or another object. When you are finished constructing points on objects, press [CLEAR] to deactivate the Point on Object tool or select another menu item.

To select the Print on Object tool, press [GRAPH][WINDOW], repeatedly press

to highlight the Point on Object tool, and press [ENTER].

The Detach Point tool in the DRAW menu is used to detach a point that was constructed using the Point on Object tool. The detached point remains on the screen, but GeoMaster no longer considers it to be associated with the object to which it was previously attached.

So if you move or transform the object, though the object changes, the point will not change its location. When the Detach Point tool is active, you detach a point by placing the cursor on the point and pressing [ENTER].
