How to View a Digital Image in Windows Vista Photo Gallery

You can use Photo Gallery for Windows Vista to not only view your digital images, but also you can use Photo Gallery to make minor modifications to your digital images, such as rotating or deleting them. Vista's Photo Gallery gives you a couple of options for viewing your images, and these easy-to-follow steps both get you to Photo Gallery as well as show you how to view and modify your digital images.

  1. Choose Start→All Programs→Windows Photo Gallery.

At the bottom of the resulting Windows Photo Gallery window, you can use the following tools:

    • The Next and Previous icons move to a previous or following image in the same folder.

    • The Display Size icon in the shape of a magnifying glass displays a slider you can click and drag to change the size of the image thumbnails.

    • The Delete button deletes the selected image.

    • The Rotate Clockwise and Rotate Counterclockwise icons spin the image 90 degrees at a time.

    • The center Play Slide Show button with a slide image on it displays the images in your Picture folder in a continuous slide show.

  2. Choose which images to display.

Click any of the items on the left to choose the images you want to display.
