Here’s an assortment of handy, time-saving tricks for you to keep in mind while you use, abuse, or excuse your new Android OS ThunderBolt smartphone:



  • Dictation! You can speak into the phone as an effective and quick alternative to using the onscreen keyboard.



  • Long-press the Home soft button to recall recently used apps.



  • The Quick Lookup app can be used to define a term, translate text, or look things up on Google, Wikipedia, or YouTube.



  • Feel free to add and remove icons and widgets on the Home screen as you see fit. It’s your Home screen.



  • Choose a new skin for the phone’s interface by touching the Personalize button on the Home screen and choosing the Skin command.



  • Press and hold a key on the onscreen keyboard to confirm that your stubby fingers have selected the right character.



  • Quickly put the ThunderBolt into Vibration mode by pressing the Volume Down button until the phone jiggles.



  • When you’re on the phone, press the Power Lock button to lock the phone and turn off the touchscreen.
